In our day treatment program at Atlas, clients are empowered to take their first steps to a life free of addictive substances. Five days a week, 4-6 hours a day depending on need, we build skills for sobriety, establish goals for recovery, and help our clients achieve those goals through counseling, and teaching professional and life skills.
In this program, lunch is provided along with individual therapy, group therapy, recreational therapy, and regular drug and alcohol screening. These components aim to promote sustainable recovery practices and facilitate a smoother reintegration into daily routines.
Most patients spend between 14 to 21 days in the program. This time frame enables individuals to navigate their recovery with confidence and prepare for the next phase.
Here’s a preview on what you can expect from our program.
Start with a detailed review of your medical and substance use history by a licensed clinician, including mental health evaluations and drug screening. Based on these, a plan will be created.
Programs run on a fixed schedule lasting the whole day for structured support.
Most days focus on group sessions for building coping skills and peer support.
Scheduled meetings with a therapist or physician to address personal issues and track progress.
Initial and random drug tests throughout the program.
Supervised use of treatment medications by medical professionals, if needed.
A PHP is a structured program offering intensive therapy and support for individuals who don't require 24-hour hospitalization but need more care than what's provided in traditional outpatient settings.
The duration of PHP can vary but typically ranges from 14 to 21 days.
After completing a PHP, individuals typically transition to a less intensive level of care, such as intensive outpatient or outpatient therapy, to continue their recovery journey.
Yes, family involvement is often encouraged in PHP. Many programs offer family therapy sessions and educational workshops for loved ones, recognizing the critical role that family support plays in recovery.
